School year 2004-2005 ended on a sober note as students gathered in Tuloy´s Multi-purpose Recreation Center on their last day of school to meditate on the Stations of the Cross.
More than 60 selected Tuloy residents staged the different scenes in Christ´s passion from the Last Supper to the Resurrection for the benefit of their classmates.
At the end of the meditation, Fr. Rocky encouraged both residents and non-resident students to live out the message of Christ´s passion during their vacation and prepare themselves well for the coming school year.
FMIJ sisters of the St. Joseph Community in Tuloy sa Don Bosco, headed by Sr. Emma Cameros, prepared a day of fun and games to celebrate the feast day of their patron saint on March 19.
Over 60 FMIJ sisters, novices and children from Tahanan ng Pag-ibig ni Barbara Micarelli cheerfully participated in games of basketball, patintero and relays. At 6:30 p.m. the sisters took a break and reflected on the theme "We thank the Lord with Mary for St. Joseph the first Guardian of the Divine Mystery" during their vespers.
Finally the evening was capped with a bingo game, raffle draws and a simple dinner with Tuloy kids.
Fr. Rocky Evangelista, Tuloy´s Founder and President, spent his birthday in thanksgiving for the generosity of friends and benefactors of Tuloy. Due to previous engagements, Fr. Rocky marked his 62nd birthday one week after, with a simple mass and dinner. Guests took home a small plant with a simple message from the Tuloy kids.
