Congratulations...

A fitting word to the 182 Tuloy graduates during the 8th Commencement Exercise of the Tuloy Sa Don Bosco School. Sonny Lorenzo Baylen, delivered his message to the graduates- for the 3rd time, an extraordinary feat from a Tuloy kid! Sonny challenged the graduates when he stated his parting words "Let us continue the help we received over the years by serving others". Indeed, these are words from a honed "Bosconian" kid!

NSO visits Tuloy

The National Statistics office in coordination with BRP (Birth Registration Project for children in need of special protection) holds a one-day seminar and actual mobile registration of birth last April 29, 2005. More than fifty (50) Tuloy kids was able to take advantage of this NSO project most especially those who will be starting or have started their OJT (on-the-job) training and requires this official document. The seminar was attended by the social workers and teachers.

Tuloy Staff enjoying the summer break

After months of rigorous work, the Tuloy staff took a one day break at Dona Jovita Resort Village in Laguna last April 27, 2005. It was a day of fun and relaxation indeed! The organizers made sure that everybody shared a laugh or two with one another forgetting for a day their duties and obligations at Tuloy.

Kids Update

As reported by CDD (Child Development Dept.) a total of 35 kids were reunited with their families, 3 transferred to another center, 4 have decided to leave Tuloy, 1 suspended, and 1 left Tuloy for independent living from Jan-Apr 2005. Based on a series of home visitations and interviews, social workers recommended the reunification. Although most of the children´s families are very poor, Tuloy should not take the place of family if there is an existing one.
